2.Product Overview
TCPP (Tris(2-Chloropropyl) Phosphate) is a high-efficiency halogen-phosphorus composite flame retardant specially developed for polyurethane materials. Featuring low viscosity, excellent flame retardancy, good hydrolysis stability and superior compatibility, TCPP integrates phosphorus and chlorine flame-retardant elements, delivering both gas-phase and condensed-phase fire resistance. It effectively improves the fire rating of flexible and rigid PU foam, reduces smoke density, and inhibits flame spreading. With stable processing performance and no influence on foam foaming structure, it is the most widely used standard flame retardant for industrial polyurethane foam, unsaturated resin and plastic industries.

4.Physical & Chemical Properties
Physical Properties
TCPP is a colorless transparent oily liquid at room temperature with low viscosity and excellent fluidity. It features good mutual solubility with polyether polyol, isocyanate, organic solvents and various PU additives, with no stratification or precipitation. The product has low volatility, stable physical state, and excellent processing adaptability for continuous foaming production. It is slightly soluble in water and fully miscible with most organic solvents, ensuring uniform dispersion in PU foam formulations.
Chemical Properties
TCPP adopts phosphorus-chlorine synergistic flame-retardant mechanism. During combustion, it forms a dense carbon layer to isolate oxygen and heat, while releasing non-combustible gas to dilute flammable volatiles, achieving dual physical and chemical flame retardant effects. The product possesses excellent hydrolytic stability and thermal stability, no decomposition or failure occurs during high-temperature foaming and long-term product use. It does not interfere with the polymerization reaction of polyurethane, ensuring stable curing and foaming molding quality.
