2.Product Overview
TDI (Toluene Diisocyanate) is one of the most critical aromatic isocyanate monomers in the polyurethane industry, serving as the core reactive raw material matched with polyether and polyester polyols. Available in mainstream industrial grades including T80 (80/20), T65 (65/35) and T100, TDI features high reaction activity, stable cross-linking performance and excellent processing adaptability. It mainly reacts with hydroxyl groups to form flexible polyurethane foam, and is also widely used in PU coatings, adhesives, sealants and elastomer (CASE) products. With mature application technology and stable batch performance, TDI is the fundamental industrial raw material for household, automotive, insulation and industrial PU manufacturing.

4.Physical & Chemical Properties
Physical Properties
TDI is a low-viscosity transparent oily liquid at room temperature with stable physical state and good fluidity. It features moderate volatility and excellent miscibility with polyether polyols, polyester polyols, organic solvents and various PU additives. Different isomer ratios endow each grade with unique processing characteristics: T80 adapts to universal flexible foaming, T65 suits fine and soft foam products, and T100 is specialized for high-end elastomer and coating systems. No precipitation or stratification occurs during standard batching and production.
Chemical Properties
TDI contains highly active double isocyanate (-NCO) groups, which can rapidly and stably undergo cross-linking polymerization reaction with hydroxyl (-OH) groups in polyols. It presents controllable reaction activity, moderate curing speed and stable foaming molding performance. The aromatic molecular structure endows cured PU products with excellent mechanical strength, wear resistance and chemical stability. Strictly controlled chlorine and acidity values effectively avoid abnormal reactions, ensuring stable reaction consistency during continuous industrial production. TDI is sensitive to water and alkaline substances, requiring strict moisture-proof storage and usage.
